Communitails, Inc. is a pioneering non-profit organization operating under the Philippine Human-Animal Bond Institute (PHABI).

Vision
To be the leading professional Animal-Assisted Services organization in the Philippines, recognized for ethical practice and for fostering communities where human and animals heal and thrive together.

Mission
To advance the human-animal bond through professional and ethical animal-assisted services that deliver mutual healing

Our Story
It started with our founder, Dr. Carla Azucena. She started Communitails in 2016 with fellow friends who saw the vital role of the human-animal bond in healing. Since then, our non-profit has developed its own programs, training, assessment, and support services to foster this bond and enhance overall well-being.

After bringing together the team and fulfilling her life’s mission, in the year 2018, Carla tragically passed away at age 31 after battling lung cancer. Her legacy lives on through Communitails.

Over the years, Communitails has continued to build its community and upgrade its services. We adopt international guidelines and standards to ensure high-quality service to all our clients. By fostering meaningful connections, we strive to create a positive impact on the well-being of our clients and our furry companions.

As pioneers of the field, we practice and develop Animal-Assisted Services as our concrete and collective response to improving the quality of life of both humans and animals. We envision a community of compassionate and committed individuals who advocate for stewardship, mutual respect, and healing through human-animal partnerships.
